Position Purpose: The purpose of the Construction Technology Field Sales Representative position is to develop and retain customers with equipment related technologies within a geographically assigned territory in order to maximize customer satisfaction and product confidence for the manufacturers offered through Power Equipment Company (PECO).
Position Responsibilities:
1. Sales:
a. Strategically prospect customers to grow revenues of our equipment related technologies in the following categories:
i. Standalone Training
ii. Smart Construction Solutions
iii. Aftermarket
iv. Parts and service performed by Machine Control Technicians (MCT’s)
b. In conjunction with the Machine Sales Representatives, conduct presentations or live demonstrations that solve or soften customer frustrations as well as provide them a sufficient and satisfactory ROI.
c. Generate professional proposals that contain an accurate configuration of equipment and that clearly present the proposed solution or service to the client.
d. Cultivate trust and rapport through effective, written, phone and face to face communication with clients. Ask probing questions and attentively listen to determine the challenges our clients face.
e. Assist in the development and marketing of PECO Product Support Programs (PSP’s).
2. Customer Support:
a. In conjunction with all internal departments, help coordinate with customers the initial phases of installation, calibration, and rental check-in/out of equipment, leveraging internal and external resources and capabilities for maximum effectiveness and value to ensure prompt delivery and total satisfaction of our customers.
b. Perform new machine/system/solution deliveries, walk-arounds, and product familiarization training.
c. Develop and perform after sale classroom and field training sessions.
d. Monitor the status, health, and utilization of customers equipment related technology fleet.
e. Take ownership of customer issues and follow up through closure.
f. Conduct phone support as needed.
3. Technical Expertise:
a. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the equipment related technologies and manufacturers PECO represents as well as competitive offerings.
b. Develop and implement solutions to unique customer initiatives/issues utilizing emerging technologies.
c. Assist where practical, in the development and technical guidance of internal Machine Control Technicians
Other Duties:
1. Set both short and long term professional goals and continuously monitor progress towards achievement.
2. Compiles data and reports to management on customer trends, market dynamics and competitive services & pricing.
3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions utilizing CRM.
4. Attends and actively participates in all designated company meetings (staff meetings, sales meetings, planning sessions, etc.), industry/association events, and appropriate training sessions.
5. Adheres to all applicable laws, company policies and procedures, and business ethics codes.
6. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicators, great organizational skills.
2. 2 years of college and 5 years of utility/construction/mining equipment related technology experience (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica) or 10 years of utility/construction/mining equipment related technology experience (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica).
3. Relative 2-year college degree or relative military training program. 4-year college degree preferred.
4. Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot preferred.
5. Prior industry repair/maintenance shop management experience preferred.
6. Mid-level Computer experience (MS Office, CRM, CAD, etc.)
7. Able to travel overnight periodically for product training or company related business.
8. Must pass background check, employment physical, and drug screen
