Account Manager develops relationships with smaller to mid-sized clients to increase revenue. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell services/products to current and new businesses. Being an Account Manager drives retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Manager maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. May support higher-level account managers working with larger accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Manager work is closely managed.     Responsibilities

    Who are you?

    The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing client relationships using proven client service skills and focusing on core business functions. This position will be responsible for managing large business accounts and ensuring client satisfaction. Strong collaboration skills are required as Account Managers are often required to coordinate client requests amongst several departments. Account managers are also expected to present at final sales presentations and meet with clients on a regular basis.

     

    In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

    • Serve as the main point of contact to support incoming service inquiries and refer complex questions to the sales team as appropriate
    • Provide a positive experience by responding in a timely manner and offering creative solutions that meet their needs
    • Initiate and monitor the renewal in collaboration with the sales team to evaluate the market, analyze plan data, and implement new strategies
    • Manage the implementation of new contracts by overseeing the underwriting process and the installation documentation
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of HealthComp benefit related products and attend product trainings as requested
    • Stay informed of regulatory issues that affect benefit plans and update clients when necessary
    • Gather product information and pricing to provide clients with comparison with current benefit offerings
    • Compile competitor data and market insights throughout your interactions with clients and provide any pertinent information to sales management to support strategic decision making
    • Document all interactions in the client relationship management system and maintain an orderly system for filing hardcopy and electronic information
    • Meet with clients face-to-face to ensure business objectives are being met
    • Monitor commission payments and make outbound calls to carriers who are delinquent on payments

    Qualifications

    What you bring to the Personify Health team:

    In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

    • 2 years of experience as an Account Manager
    • 3 years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or healthcare industry
    • Knowledge of health plan testing, regulatory compliance, and mandates regarding insurance plan administration
    • Valid driver’s license along with proof of insurance with defined limits must be presented to HR, a copy will be kept on file, and documentation will be requested on an annual basis
    • Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time
    • Clear communication style and strong collaboration skills

    In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges up to $79,040 annually. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
