Position Summary:
The Director of Key Accounts for Healthcare will be responsible to help define the strategy and develop the industry vertical Healthcare at (Our Client) Supply Chain Solutions in the United States. This positions’ main goal is to profitably grow the industry vertical in addition to spending up to 20% of their time managing an existing key client. In this role, they will be expected to generate and follow-up in a self-sustainable manner new business in target markets with primary focus on value added logistics, warehousing, end-customer (mainly hospitals, labs, etc.) distribution, field inventory / consignment stock services and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
In addition, they will be responsible for annual budget planning and execution. They will work closely with the operations team to increase productivity and profitability within the operation. Responsibility for all associated activities including but not limited to staffing, P&L management, vendor relations and process improvement. Responsible for one or more large fulfillment facilities.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of logistics, warehousing, fulfillment and order-to-cash supply chain management (SCM) and a detailed knowledge of the target industries (Healthcare – Medical Devices and Diagnostics).
Overall Responsibilities:
Sets strategic direction for the business unit Healthcare
Aligns with Senior Management to set company sales targets and marketing strategies
Responsibility for both growth of the business unit as well as managing existing accounts including account profitability
Leads contract and pricing negotiations, RFQ responses and engagement meetings.
Assists with customer escalations when needed.
Engage, coach, mentor and interact with the team to provide feedback and direction on a daily basis.
Guides account managers and their teams to ensure the smooth flow of the day-to-day business and puts in place the necessary structures and processes to meet the financial objectives and SLAs of client agreements.
Ensures a smooth interface among all internal departments (Service Delivery, IT, controlling, customs/trade, transport and all other operating entities involved) to enable a successful implementation or operation of the agreed scope of the business.
Collaborates with Operations in line with Company goals.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Economics or Business (or comparable work experience) required
An advanced degree (MBA, M.S., MD, or Ph.D.) is preferred
Proven track record of min of 5 years of business and P&L ownership
Sales experience
3PL experience
End-to-End Supply Chain Knowledge (transportation, warehouse/distribution, ERP and logistics software, customer relations & compliance, budget creation & management)
Strong leadership skill
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience in managing a large team
Previous experience working in a global matrix structure
