Account Management Director manages and develops sales plans for a team of account managers. Focuses on the long-term planning and selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients. Being an Account Management Director ensures that account managers meet the ongoing needs of clients and prospects while accomplishing individual revenue goals. May be personally responsible for managing major accounts. Additionally, Account Management Director sets sales targets and quotas and makes recommendations for product improvements or expanding sales channels. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Account Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Account Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The position is a unique opportunity to


    • Become a compelling member of the Wholesale Sales Team through managing relationships with telecom carriers and service partners and the achievement of monthly sales and revenue goals.

    What you will be doing


    • Consulting with prospective clients and growing key relationships to provide new telecommunication solutions for their business needs.
    • Enticing clients by creating and presenting On-net and Near-net Fiber network solutions to support their needs.
    • Improving client satisfaction by traveling to client sites to manage field sales activities.
    • Maintaining an accurate client database while building a network through referrals, prospecting calls, trade shows, and peer connections.
    • Qualifying leads through the submission of a return on investment (ROI) and accompanying analyses.
    • Conducting tactful and mutually beneficial contract negotiations and conversations with C-Level executives and key decision-makers.
    • Maintaining quality service and encouraging client retention through coordinated efforts with the Business Service Managers, and the Sales Engineering and Marketing teams.


    What you will need


    • 5 years of experience selling into the Wholesale/ Reseller and Carrier marketplace within the telecommunications industry.
    • Ability to harness and leverage your network, relationships, and contacts across the Carrier, MSO, Hyperscale’s, WISPs, and Electric Co-Ops segments.
    • Experience selling into Tier 2/3/4 markets.
    • Experience selling Lit Fiber, Dark Fiber, DIA, Ethernet.
    • A hunter mentality who thinks strategically and can creatively identify targets, crafts the best means to reach those targets, and execute with the perfect mix of efficiency and hard work ethic to get deals over the goal line.
    • Experience developing Account Development Plans.
    • An entrepreneurial, coachable spirit with a proven ability to work independently.
    • CRM experience working in Salesforce.
    • Willingness to travel up to 35% for customer site visits, trade shows and conferences.
