The Director of Academic Advising is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of a community of practice for advising at the Prescott Campus. Although academic advisors have a dotted line reporting structure to their respective college dean, the Director supervises all professional academic advisors. The Director collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Student Support Services, college deans, the registrar, and department heads to develop student success and retention strategies including UNIV 101 College Success course, and effective advising opportunities. The Director will work collaboratively with advisors to identify professional development opportunities, policy and process consistency, and cross training needs. Responsible for budget, communications, and needs identification for the Advising Team. Works with all programs and campus partners to continuously improve professional advising.
