Academic Advising Director jobs in North Dakota
Academic Advising Director directs the academic advising department, its processes, and its advisors. Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Being an Academic Advising Director assists Dean or Associate Dean in the preparation and implementation of department wide goals, procedures, and controls. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Academic Advising Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the associate dean. The Academic Advising Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Academic Advising Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Supporting new clients during the implementation phase Providing technology support and general systems management
- Updates and maintains reference manuals (internal and external)
- Prepare and analyze user reports and activities
- Presenting the software to different sized Academic Institutions and their teams ranging from public to private schools and large Educational Groups
- Ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met in close exchange with the 3D Design and Business Development Team
- Engaging with clients beyond their expectations via e-mail and phone
- Researching market trends in Academia as well as in the apparel and other connecting industries
- Become a liaison to other global CLO offices in order to connect users globally
Requirements- Minimum 1-2 years of work experience within an academic institution, the apparel or technology industry
- Professional and proactive work ethic to lead projects to completion
- Customer-focused communication skills
- Critical thinking and creative strategizing Good communication skills
- Team-driven and open-minded
- Tech-savvy with a passion for emerging technology
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge of the industry’s supply chain and it’s software landscape is of benefit
- Must speak English, additional languages are valuable
- Must be a European citizen or have a working/residential visa for the EU
