ATM Manager (Service & Operations) is responsible for managing and maintaining efficient ATM operational processes.   • MIG Services Inc. is recruiting for a Operations Manager for our Erlanger, KY location. This role will report to the Director of Operations and will develop priorities for planning, scheduling, and forecasting the allocation of resources and movement of customer orders. Will coordinate production hardware (both internal and external) to meet customer requirements and scheduling commitments. Will establish, supervise, and coordinate the production schedules. Will ensure the flow of materials, detailed parts, and assemblies within and/or between departments and facilities. Will ensure that production goals are met while adhering to established budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations.

    To be considered for this opportunity here are key details we will need to know you have experience in:

    • Managing a Production Control team (our team consists of 12)
    • The employee population headcount of the plant is approximately 87 people between day/ night shift, plus weekend warriors. There is a special cell there, very advanced that runs 24/7.
    • The type of leader that works well in this environment will need to be hands-on, empowering to the team, quick thinking, a solid decision maker, and have an engineering background or a machine shop background will be required. Strong communication skills, and philosophically strong in Lean Six Sigma, with strong abilities to handle many projects at once are must-have traits.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Manage all Production Control personnel at the Erlanger, KY plant.
    • Evaluate Operations team and build an accountable team capable of executing and maintaining schedules and that meets the commitments it makes. Replace and / or enhance capabilities of those members if they are not consistently met.
    • Manage production schedules to ensure delivery of customer orders on-time
    • Drive production to comply with Level Load Materials Plan and Stock Buffer Build plan
    • Examine cost data to reduce costs and increase output
    • Serve as liaison between production and supply chain/Procurement
    • Drive operational improvement projects to reduce COPQ, improve productivity, and cell performance
    • Monitor material flow through the production cycle with all relevant departments, continually ensuring customers’ target dates are met for on-time delivery
    • Consult with and Direct all shop floor daily to monitor manufacturing and order status
    • Identify areas when/where schedule revisions and improvements should be made
    • Review manufacturing process daily to keep schedules up to date
    • Maintain required records in MPCS/ Production Waterfall Schedules/ new ERP/ MES system when brought online
    • Actively pursue cost reduction through the use of Lean, Visual, and Six Sigma manufacturing methods
    • Interface with customers regarding delivery dates
    • Provide customer support to ensure that customers’ needs are met
    • Prepare for, and lead, production and management meeting
    • Communicate with all levels of personnel to ensure flow of materials, parts, and assemblies
    • Stockroom and Inventory Tracking, accuracy, and processing
    • Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards
    • Ensure all safety regulations are followed in the production process
    • Prepare requisitions to fill direct labor positions to meet operational requirements
    • Maintain Skills Matrices and participate in subordinate reviews during on the of hire and year end reviews.
    • Set goals and objectives for all production control personnel
    • Develop PC department and cross train all individuals under this cognizant position
    • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

    Requirements:

    • Master’s degree in Operations or equivalent technical training
    • APICS Certification in Production / Inventory management
    • High school diploma/equivalent- documentation required
    • Must be US Person as required by ITAR- documentation required
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in production scheduling in manufacturing, preferably in Aerospace manufacturing
    • Excellent verbal, written, and customer interface communication skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and management
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Must be detailed oriented
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
    • Must project a professional demeanor
    • Ability to work additional hours when needed to ensure production schedules are met
    • MIG Services Inc.is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment drug testing will be required.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (LM23 or equivalent) (may require corporate training provided)

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, use hands, reach with hands, and arms, and communicate. Frequently work in office environment and use of computer (typical 2-button scroll mouse and keyboard - 50% of the work day). The employee must frequently lift or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
