We are an established Property Management office in Freeport, NY seeking an experienced full-charge bookkeeper to join our team. The right candidate will have strong accounting and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and cash receipts
Post financial transactions and adjusting entries to the general ledger
Prepare financial statements and reports
Process payroll, and prepare and file related taxes in compliance with regulations
Communicate effectively as needed with banks, accountants and lenders
Receive comprehensive training with the goal of eventually becoming the lead bookkeeper of our team
Qualifications:
3 years full-charge bookkeeping experience required, real estate experience a plus
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with general ledger accounting and statement preparation
Ability to complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
Skilled in Excel, QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
Familiarity with Skyline real estate accounting software a plus
Flexibility, with ability to troubleshoot, prioritize and multi-task
